Shimla, July 02

In a proactive step towards environmental sustainability, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have been directed by Rajiv Kumar to procure and plant at least ten trees within their premises at the start of the rainy season. This initiative aims to boost the green cover and contribute positively to the environment, aligning with the commitment to creating a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors, guests, and staff.

Rajiv Kumar emphasized the importance of selecting tree species that suit the climatic conditions of their respective areas. In instances where there is insufficient space within the premises, the trees should be planted in adjoining units.

Compliance with these instructions is mandatory, and DDOs are required to share photographs of the plantation process and the planted trees through eOffice mode. Any negligence in adhering to these instructions will be taken seriously, and action will be initiated against those found delinquent.
