Chamba, February 25: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal conducted a detailed site inspection regarding the proposed lift construction up to Chaugan No.1. During the visit, three potential locations — Bus Stand, Tattvani, and Kaskara — were assessed based on technical feasibility, accessibility, safety measures, land availability, and public convenience. The DC directed departments to prepare a detailed estimate for submission to ADB and expedite the technical evaluation process.
He also inspected the proposed pooja ghat site near Sheetla Temple along the Ravi River and reviewed ongoing repair works on the historic Sheetla bridge damaged due to heavy rains, instructing officials to ensure quality and timely completion.
