Congress to Hold Nationwide Protests Demanding Removal of SEBI Chief Over Adani Allegations

Shimla, August 20 — In response to the revelations by Hindenburg Research regarding alleged manipulation of the stock market in favor of Adani due to his connections with SEBI, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has called for a nationwide protest on August 22, 2024. The party is demanding the removal of SEBI’s chief and an investigation by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).

Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh announced that the Himachal Pradesh Congress will hold a protest in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Chhota Shimla on August 22, 2024, at 11 AM. All party leaders, MLAs, former MLAs, office bearers, members of frontal organizations and departments, workers, and Congress councilors of the Municipal Corporation have been urged to participate in the protest.
