Shimla, June 29 :Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur said the Panchayati Raj election results demonstrate the public’s strong support for development-focused politics. Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony in Gram Panchayat Rawi, he congratulated newly elected Jubbal Block Development Committee (BDC) Chairperson Kamlesh Jhagta and other winners. Thakur noted that Congress-backed candidates secured all 15 BDC seats and all three Zila Parishad seats in Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai. He also highlighted the growing role of women in local governance and outlined key infrastructure projects, including road upgrades, a primary health centre, and a major bridge over the Pabbar River, reaffirming the government’s commitment to regional development.
