Congress Government in State: Antagonistic, Policy-Opposing, Development-Opposing, Welfare-Opposing: Reena Kashyap
2 min readShimla: BJP MLA Reena Kashyap has stated that the Congress government’s 15 months in power have been disappointing, with the government only indulging in deceiving the public. This government is antagonistic to the people, opposed to policies, development, and welfare.
She mentioned that the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to take out loans for the second time in March alone. A sum of 672 crore rupees is being borrowed as the final installment for this fiscal year. The government has had to utilize 100% of the loan limit provided for this fiscal year. In total, the government has borrowed around 8,072 crore rupees in this fiscal year. Earlier this month, a loan of 1,100 crore rupees was also taken. In the previous fiscal year, the government borrowed 14,000 crore rupees. If any government is to be blamed for mismanagement, it would be only the Congress party’s government.
She further stated that after six incompetent Congress and three independent MLAs joined the BJP, the state government has formed a Cabinet subcommittee on political matters. This clearly indicates that the Congress government is still afraid of its MLAs defecting. Each MLA is being closely monitored.
This committee will be chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Three ministers have been made members. The General Administration Department (GAD) of the state government issued a notification on Saturday regarding this. This ministerial subcommittee will also look into economic matters alongside political issues. Agriculture Minister Chandrakumar, Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi will be its members. All administrative secretaries have been informed about this. Perhaps this ministerial subcommittee has been formed for damage control.
