Cong State President Pratibha Singh inaugurates Nehru and Revolutionaries” book at National Book Fair
2 min readShimla, June 29 : Today, during the National Congress Working Committee meeting, Member and Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh inaugurated the book “Nehru and Revolutionaries” authored by Sudhir Vidyarthi at the Aadhar Publications stall in the Himalayan Literature, Culture, and Environment Forum and Oakard India, Delhi organized National Book Fair. On this occasion, she praised the cultural development initiatives of the Himalayan Forum and Oakard India and suggested that this fair should be held annually in Shimla. The session was presided over by the forum’s chairman, author, and Shimla National Book Fair’s local coordinator, S.R. Harnot, who recalled that the first Shimla Book Fair began under the blessings of former Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh and its eighth edition is underway today. Pratibha Singh also thanked S.R. Harnot for inviting her to the book fair. Professor Satyapal Sahgal shared his thoughts on the importance of this significant publication by Aadhar Publications. Pratibha Ji and Desh Ji welcomed the publication with floral tributes and Himachali shawl. Former administrative officer and editor of Setu Literature magazine, Dr. Devendra Gupta, and the fair’s national coordinator, Sachin Choudhary, also expressed their views at this event. Aadhar Publications Director Desh Nirmohi expressed gratitude to Pratibha Ji and expressed joy over the inauguration of this authentic book. Pratibha Ji visited over 30 book stalls including Vani, Rajkamal, Sasta Sahitya Mandal, Rajpal and Sons, Publication Department, Bharatiya Jnanpith, and bought several English and Hindi books. Later in the afternoon, Pradesh government’s Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh also visited the book fair and purchased many books.
