CM Sukhu Accuses BJP Leaders of Lying Habit

Dehra: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu campaigned for Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur, his wife, in the Dehra Assembly constituency. Addressing various public meetings, CM Sukhu accused BJP leaders, including Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, of being habitual liars and misleading the public with false claims. He criticized Jairam Thakur for making baseless statements about forming the government on various dates, which turned out to be false.

The Chief Minister questioned former MLA Hoshiar Singh’s motives for resigning and contesting the by-elections again. He stated that BJP and Hoshiar Singh have imposed these by-elections on the people of Dehra. He accused Hoshiar Singh of prioritizing his hotel and resort business over public welfare.

Highlighting the achievements of his government, CM Sukhu mentioned the benefits provided under the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Sukhumya Nidhi Yojana, where around a thousand women in Dehra receive monthly pensions. He also outlined the government’s initiatives for strengthening rural economies, including purchasing wheat and maize at fair prices, establishing a milk processing unit in Kangra, and setting up a Pepsi factory in Indora to create job opportunities.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s efforts in disaster management, detailing the compensation provided to families affected by last year’s calamity. He reassured the public of continued development in Dehra, with ample funding for infrastructure projects such as roads, electricity, and water supply.

Newly joined Congress member and Dhar Panchayat head Indira expressed her faith in CM Sukhu’s policies, further bolstering support for the Congress party in the region.
