Cong Minister Vikramaditya Breaks Party Line, Attends Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Temple Pran Prathishta Ceremony

Shimla, January 22: Vikramaditya Singh, the influential Congress minister in Himachal Pradesh, defied party norms as he actively participated in the Pran Prathishta ceremony of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Monday. This marked a departure from the party’s official stance, as the Congress high command had initially declined an invitation to the event.

Vikramaditya Singh received a personal invitation to attend the ceremony in Ayodhya. His decision to actively engage in the Pran Prathishta ceremony deviated from the party’s official line. Notably, the Congress high command had previously rejected the invitation to the event.

In a noteworthy move, Vikramaditya Singh, on Sunday, traveled from Chandigarh to Lucknow, where he met Jitin Prasada, the Minister of State for Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government had designated Vikramaditya Singh as a state guest. Sharing his sentiments on Facebook, Vikramaditya Singh expressed gratitude, acknowledging the respect and responsibility attached to the invitation.

Vikramaditya Singh highlighted that the invitation was extended due to the unwavering faith and commitment of his late father, six-time Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, in the deity and the broader Hindu community. He viewed the acceptance of the invitation as a duty rooted in familial and cultural values.

Emphasizing the spiritual significance of the event, Vikramaditya Singh asserted that it was an honor for him to represent his family, carrying forward the legacy of his father’s devotion to Lord Ram and the immense respect for the Hindu way of life.
