Shimla, January 14: Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh welcomed Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s decision to provide ₹7 lakh for the reconstruction of homes and ₹5,000 monthly housing allowance for six months to the families affected by the recent fire tragedy in Tandi village of Banjar constituency. She expressed gratitude towards the CM, stating that the Congress government is working with sensitivity to address such disasters.

Pratibha Singh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting disaster-hit individuals with every possible assistance. Criticizing the BJP, she accused them of misleading people with baseless statements.

She alleged that the Central Government has ignored the state’s interests and has not extended financial aid. Despite this, the Congress government is striving to fulfill development goals using limited resources. She urged the BJP to cease petty politics and contribute positively to developmental and public welfare initiatives in the state.
