CM congratulates Som Datt Battu for being honoured with Padam Shri

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated Som Datt Battu for being honoured with the Padma Shri award by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, for rendering distinguished services in the field of promoting Art, on 25^th January, 2024 in a ceremonial function held at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Shimla based vocalist Som Datt Battu was awarded Padam Shri for his exceptional contribution for promoting classical music.

The Chief Minister said that it was a matter of great pride for the State that Shri Battu is conferred with the highest civilian award on the eve of Republic Day.
