A cleanliness drive was organised in the Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB) campus on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday.

Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, followed strict principles in his life and inspired people to follow those principles. Gandhiji had said that “cleanliness is more important than political freedom. If a person is not clean, he cannot remain healthy”. Inspired by this ideology, a cleanliness campaign was started in the institute.

The campaign started with the rendering of “Vaishnav Jan to tene kahiye” Gandhiji’s favourite bhajan. After that the President of the Institute, Mrs. Saroj Khosla addressed all the students and teachers and urged them to follow the ideology and principles of Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr Shalini Sharma, Director of the Institute including the students, faculty and other staff completed the cleanliness drive with full energy and dedication. After the completion of the campaign, arrangements for refreshments were also made by the Institute.
