Trash management Kurnh should be made functional – DC

Deputy Commissioner DC Rana said that the disposal site at Kuranh should be made functional for solid waste management of ten different gram panchayats selected under the Municipal Council Chamba and Vikas Block Mehala. The Deputy Commissioner was speaking at a meeting held at the council’s office today with representatives of the city council Chamba.

Regarding the illegal dumping of garbage in some wards of the city, Rana , while discussing with council officials, said that immediate fencing of these places should be ensured to stop the waste disposal.

“Local people who are protesting against the solid waste disposal site in Kuranh, will corporate once it is done in the completely by the scientific method,” said Rana.

He stressed that separate disposal bin should be provided to the residents and the city council can also schedule days in a week for door to door collection of solid, wet waste and kitchen best in various wards.
