Ban on Selling – Distributing Liquor, DC Rana Issues Order

Chamba, January 7 – Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate DC Rana made 48 hours before the end of counting process in the constituencies of Municipal Councils Chamba and Dalhousie and Nagar Panchayat Chuwadi under Section 304 (R) of Himachal Pradesh Municipality Act-1994. During the period, orders have been issued to prohibit the selling, giving or distribution of any other spirituous substance, like alcohol and liquor, in a hotel, catering venue, kitchen, shop or any other public or private place. If a person violates the order , he can be imprisoned for up to 6 months or with a fine of up to 2 thousand rupees or both.

He informed that polling for the election of urban bodies in district Chamba is scheduled to be held from 8 am to 4 pm on January 10, 2021.
