Chamba : Patient’s Attendant Misbehaves with Doctors on Night Duty

Chamba, January 23 –
An incident of misbehavior with two female trainee doctors and a resident doctor on night duty at Medical College and Hospital, Chamba, has been reported. The matter was brought to the police, who have initiated an investigation.

As per reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday night in the Medicine Ward on the fourth floor of the hospital. A patient’s attendant engaged in an argument with the doctors on duty. When the doctors asked him to calm down, he resorted to inappropriate behavior. The situation escalated, prompting other doctors, staff, and security personnel to intervene and escort the individual out of the ward.

Medical College Media Coordinator, Dr. Manik Sehgal, condemned the incident, stating that a formal complaint has been lodged with the police to ensure strict action is taken. SP Chamba, Abhishek Yadav, confirmed that the individual is being questioned and the matter is under investigation. Further action will follow based on the findings.
