CBSE Workshop on Student Mental Health Held at St. Thomas’ School Shimla

A one-day workshop on promoting mental health and wellness among students was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 18th April 2026 at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla. The workshop focused on sensitizing teachers to the emotional and psychological needs of students in today’s fast-paced academic environment.
Experts shared insights on identifying early signs of stress, anxiety, and behavioral changes among students, and suggested effective classroom strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
In the beginning of the program, The Principal of the school, Mrs. Sharon Nanda welcomed the resource persons and the participants. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp. The principle also felicitated the resource persons.
As the keynote speaker and resource person of CBSE of this workshop, Pooja Aggarwal , and Versha Dharma , conducted this one-day workshop.
Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda presented a concise overview of the entire programme to the participants.
Apart from St. Thomas School, teachers from schools in the surrounding area also participated in this workshop. These included Trinity International School, Saraswati Paradise School Sanjauli , Raja Dilip Singh Memorial School Halog, Chapslee School Shimla and IVY international school Sanjauli participated in the workshop.
At the end, St. Thomas School’s STNC Mrs. Anshul Sharma expressed her gratitude to the keynote speaker and resource person, and the teachers who had come from other schools.
Apart from this, Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda thanked everyone for successfully organizing the entire workshop and for their cooperation. She said that CBSE will organize CBP, subject core subjects and in-house training in similar way in future also.
