Transgender Candidates Shine with 100% Pass Rate in CBSE Class XII Results 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officially announced the Class XII results for the academic session 2024–25 on 13 May 2025, bringing relief and joy to lakhs of students and their families. With a pass percentage of 88.39%, this year has seen a marginal rise of 0.41% over last year’s results, highlighting the students’ perseverance amidst academic pressure and national uncertainties.

Out of over 1.7 crore registered candidates, 14,96,307 students passed, a reflection of the collective hard work of students, teachers, and parents.

Among the regions, Vijayawada topped with an impressive 99.60% pass percentage, followed closely by Trivandrum (99.32%) and Chennai (97.39%). In the Delhi region, Delhi-West stood at 95.37% while Delhi-East recorded 95.06%.

Girls once again outshone boys, securing a pass percentage of 91.64%, nearly 6% higher than boys. Notably, CWSN candidates (Children With Special Needs) also performed commendably, reinforcing the importance of inclusive education.

Institution-wise, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) led with 98.90%, followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas and Central Tibetan Schools.

As CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj acknowledged, these results are not just marks—they are milestones of growth, determination, and hope in the hearts of India’s youth. A heartening highlight this year — transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass percentage, showcasing courage, resilience, and the power of equal opportunity in education.
