CBI to Probe Vimal Negi Death Case: Jairam Thakur Welcomes HC Decision

Mandi, May 23, 2025: Former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur welcomed the Himachal Pradesh High Court’s order to hand over the Vimal Negi death case to the CBI. He stated he had been demanding this probe from day one, accusing the state government of pressuring the family to avoid it. Thakur alleged large-scale corruption in solar projects and claimed attempts were made to destroy evidence, including the formatting of a key pen drive. He said justice will now be served and the guilty will face the law.
