Car Crash in Shimla: Three Individuals Injured

Shimla, Aug 10 – In an unfortunate incident on Wednesday evening, a car met with an accident and fell into a deep gorge under the jurisdiction of the Nanakheri Panchayat in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh. The accident resulted in injuries to three individuals, who were promptly taken to the Khanehri Hospital in Rampur for medical treatment. One of the injured individuals was referred to IGMC Shimla due to the severity of their injuries.
According to information obtained from the Nanakheri Police Station, the incident occurred when a car, an Alto, was traveling from Delath towards Rampur. On Wednesday evening, approximately four kilometers ahead of Delath near the Bannola Nala, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge nearly 100 feet down into a deep gorge. Local residents immediately informed the police about the accident.
Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the scene promptly and, with the help of locals, rescued the injured individuals from the gorge. The injured individuals were identified as Rameshwar Gautam, son of Maheshwari Dutt; Praveen Kumar, son of the late Vidya Devi; and Ram Singh, son of Buddhi Ram, residing in Tuttu.
The injured were rushed to the Mahatma Gandhi Khanehri Hospital in Rampur for medical treatment. Due to the serious condition of Praveen Kumar, he was referred to IGMC Shimla for further medical attention. The police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
DSP Ramapur, Shivani Mahla, confirmed the incident and informed that three individuals were injured in the car accident. The police are actively investigating the case to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
