1 min readNahan/Solan, September 8, 2024: Former BJP state president and MP, Suresh Kashyap, highlighted the inclusive approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, emphasizing that out of 71 ministers in the BJP government, 10 are from the Dalit community, 27 from backward classes, and 5 from tribal communities. He was addressing the closing ceremony of the sports and cultural competition organized by the Youth Club of Nainidhar during the “Ladhi Mahotsav” in Shillai constituency.
Kashyap lauded the efforts of PM Modi in honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by instituting Constitution Day on 26th November, a move that wasn’t made by previous Congress governments. He emphasized that the BJP has always worked towards uplifting the marginalized sections of society, unlike Congress, which focused only on vote-bank politics.
He further mentioned various initiatives taken to honor Dr. Ambedkar, including the construction of memorials at his birthplace, educational sites, and significant landmarks across the country, ensuring his legacy is respected and remembered. Kashyap also cited key government welfare programs like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Ayushman Bharat, where Dalits have been significant beneficiaries.
