Shimla, November 28 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a state-level meeting of its organization at Hotel Dhruv, chaired by BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal. Key leaders, including State In-charge Shrikant Sharma, Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, and other senior members, were present.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bindal criticized the Sukhvinder Singh-led government, calling its two-year tenure a “dark chapter” for the people of Himachal Pradesh. He accused the Congress government of burdening the public with inflation and mismanagement. Dr. Bindal highlighted that the government imposed a VAT of ₹7 per liter on diesel, increased cement prices, raised stamp duty by 500%, and hiked electricity tariffs by 46%.
He further accused the government of failing to deliver on its employment promises, deceiving the unemployed youth, and neglecting women’s welfare schemes. He noted that the promise of free electricity for consumers was also unmet. Dr. Bindal claimed that while the public is suffering, the government is celebrating its tenure.
Senior BJP leaders, including district presidents and mandal leaders, attended the meeting and discussed strategies for the upcoming elections.
