B.L. Modi Elocution 2025 Opens with Eloquence, Energy & Excellence

The 26th B.L. Modi Inter-School Elocution Competition began with fervour at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, drawing students from ten premier institutions. Chief Guest Mr. Abid Hussain Sadiq, IAS, lit the ceremonial lamp alongside the Headmaster to inaugurate the two-day literary event.
Day One showcased the Junior Division with participants from Classes 4 to 7 competing in three categories. Loreto Convent, Tara Hall, emerged dominant, with Aishwarya Sud, Mairahh Singh, and Nahima Dogra winning Best Speaker titles in their respective groups. Other top honours went to D.A.V. New Shimla, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Bishop Cotton School, and Auckland House School for Boys.
Day One featured the Junior Division (Classes 4–7) in three categories:
Category 1 – Junior Poetry
Best Speaker: Aishwarya Sud – Loreto Convent, Tara Hall
Most Promising Speakers: Ojasvi Ojal Sharma – D.A.V. New Shimla, Nisha Kashyap – Convent of Jesus and Mary
Category 2 – Intermediate I
Best Speaker: Mairahh Singh – Loreto Convent, Tara Hall
Most Promising Speakers: Rudrakshi Sharma – Convent of Jesus and Mary, Manvendra Thakur – Bishop Cotton School
Category 3 – Intermediate II
Best Speaker: Nahima Dogra – Loreto Convent, Tara Hall
Most Promising Speakers: Sanvi Sharma – D.A.V. New Shimla, Arhav Uppal – Auckland House School (Boys)
The event celebrated both winners and participants, applauding their confidence, articulation, and creativity. Day Two promises equally compelling performances from the Senior Division.
