Shimla, May 31, 2025:

Auckland House School, Shimla, celebrated its 154th Founders’ Day on May 30, followed by its vibrant Annual School Carnival on May 31, in a spirited two-day celebration marked by tradition, creativity, and community bonding.

The Founders’ Day began with a solemn prayer service led by Director-Principal Ms. Smaraki Samantaroy, featuring hymns, reflections, and a vibrant cultural programme of dances, music, a school band performance, and an English play. Special guests included former Bishop Smantaroy and Mr. Rubin T. John, Principal of Auckland House School for Boys. The presence of alumni and a friendly Tug of War between former students and Form XII added warmth and nostalgia, with the Old Girls emerging victorious.

The school grounds came alive the next day during the Annual Carnival, which was graced by Fr. Anil Sequeira, Principal of St. Edward’s School, as the Chief Guest. Applauding the festive spirit and student participation, he praised the school’s strong values and creative ethos.

The Carnival offered a lively mix of food stalls, games, mehndi, tattoos, handicrafts, artworks, souvenirs, and a jam session, welcoming not only students but also alumni and students from other schools, making it a community-wide celebration.

The two-day festivities showcased Auckland House School’s enduring legacy and its commitment to holistic education, creativity, and community engagement.
