Allocation of EVMs Completed for all Assembly Segments in Shimla – Anupam Kashyap

Shimla, May 4 – The allocation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) has been completed for all assembly segments in the Shimla district in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This information was provided today by Shimla District Election Officer Anupam Kashyap. He also inspected the Fagu Warehousing and provided necessary directions to the concerned officials regarding the allocation process.

Kashyap stated that on May 2, the first randomization of EVM machines was done in the presence of representatives from recognized political parties using the EVM Management System (EMS) software. Following that, yesterday, the allocation of EVMs for the remaining 4 assembly segments, including Theog, Shimla Rural, Shimla Urban, and Kasumpti assembly segments, was done and securely deposited in the strong room by the respective Assistant Returning Officers.

This ensures the readiness of all assembly segments in Shimla district for the upcoming elections, providing a secure and efficient voting process for the voters.
