AHS Girls Collaborate with St. Thomas’ School for Art Camp 2025 in Shimla

In a unique and vibrant celebration of creativity and collaboration, Auckland House School (AHS), Shimla, is currently hosting a four-day Art Camp 2025 in partnership with St. Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School, New Delhi. The camp, running from May 19 to 22, brings together 11 talented students from St. Thomas’ along with their faculty and 12 members of the AHS Art Club, creating a dynamic space for artistic exchange.
The central focus of the camp is a collaborative mural project aimed at transforming the school’s walls and corridors into living canvases. Through graffiti, abstract art, and conceptual design, students are blending ideas and styles to craft powerful visual stories and brighten their shared learning environment.
AHS Principal Smaraki Samantaroy noted that such inter-school collaborations offer more than just artistic growth—they foster deep bonds, mutual respect, and shared cultural learning. She emphasized that these experiences allow young minds to thrive in diversity and creativity, building a sense of unity and purpose.
St. Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School, a renowned institution established in 1930 under the Diocese of Delhi, Church of North India, brings rich experience in public art projects. Led by Dr. Anuradha Amos, the team is guided by dedicated educators — Ms. Meghna Ahuja, Ms. Shivali Nayyar, Ms. Meeta Singh, and Ms. Meeta Michael — who are playing a key role in facilitating and enriching this partnership.
Beyond the art, students were immersed in Shimla’s heritage through curated walks exploring the city’s cultural landmarks and colonial architecture. A fun-filled bonfire night added warmth and camaraderie to the experience, featuring music, laughter, and shared stories under the open sky.
This cross-city initiative stands as a testament to the power of creative synergy — a memorable celebration of talent, teamwork, and togetherness that will resonate in the hearts of all participants.
