After 7months HRTC back on Interstate route

Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet would resume interstate routes after remaining off for the last seven months, state Transport Minister Bikram Singh said in a press statement issued here today.
Transport Minister Bikram Singh said that the state government has decided to operate interstate bus services of Himachal Road Transport Corporation from October 14, 2020, as the public sector transport unit has already resumed its partial operation on the interstate route after it was withdrawn in the month of March 2020.
Interstate bus services would ply on 25 routes in the first phase, in which Chandigarh, Pathankot, Baddi, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Ambala, and Haridwar have been included. Only non AC buses would ply on interstate routes and night bus service has also been included in it.
He said that the state government has taken this decision in view of the upcoming Navratri and festive season. He said that people have been demanding to start interstate bus service. He said that soon interstate bus services would be plied in other states as well.
