ADM Flags Off Disaster Awareness Vehicle, Reviews Mitigation Proposals 1 min read
Shimla, March 18, 2025: Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana flagged off a Disaster Management and Mitigation Awareness Vehicle today in Shimla. The initiative aims to educate rural communities about disaster preparedness and response strategies.
The awareness vehicle will cover various subdivisions over the next few days:
- March 18: Shoghi & Naldehra (Shimla Rural)
- March 19: Kufri & Theog (Shimla Rural & Theog)
- March 20: Kotkhai Town (Kotkhai)
- March 21: Kharapathar & Hatkoti (Jubbal)
- March 22: Rohru Bus Stand & Samarkot (Rohru)
- March 23-24: Bahli, Taklech & Jeori (Rampur)
The vehicle will disseminate crucial information to help communities prepare for and respond to disasters effectively.
Review Meeting on Disaster Mitigation Proposals
Later in the day, ADM Jyoti Rana chaired a review meeting on disaster mitigation proposals. She directed the implementation agencies to take necessary actions on the submitted proposals and reviewed the progress of ongoing projects.
The meeting was attended by Shimla Rural SDM Kavita Thakur and other officials.
