Additional Chief Secretary Omkar Sharma Honoured with Indian Excellence Award 2026

Shimla, June 7: Additional Chief Secretary Omkar Sharma was conferred with the Indian Excellence Award 2026 by leading social organisations of Himachal Pradesh in recognition of his outstanding contribution to relief and rehabilitation efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and various disaster situations in the state.

The award was jointly presented by Ladli Foundation, Himachal Rainbow Star Club and Govind Sagar Adventure and Water Sports Association under the leadership of Ladli Foundation State President Shalu Akhtar, along with representatives Narmada Sharma, Diksha Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and Ishan Akhtar.

Apart from the award, Omkar Sharma was also felicitated with a traditional Himachali cap and shawl as a mark of respect and appreciation for his public service. Representatives of the organisations highlighted his significant role in ensuring timely relief measures and effective coordination during challenging times.

Accepting the honour, Omkar Sharma said he remains committed to ensuring that government welfare schemes and development initiatives reach every section of society effectively and transparently.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Ladli Foundation, Himachal Rainbow Star Club, Sarvadharm Sambhav National Forum, Himalaya Vikas Seva Sansthan and Govind Sagar Adventure and Water Sports Association.
