Abhilashi University’s School of Physiotherapy Commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Chail Chowk, Mandi: In a dedicated observance of the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities,” the School of Physiotherapy at Abhilashi University, Chail Chowk, Mandi, orchestrated a profound event aligning with the theme “United in Action to Rescue and Achieve the SDGs for and by Persons with Disabilities.”

Faculty members and students of physiotherapy enthusiastically participated in various activities, including theme-based dance performances, skits, and a poster-making competition. The celebration, graced by esteemed dignitaries, showcased the university’s commitment to acknowledging and addressing the challenges faced by persons with disabilities.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor H.S Banyal inspired and blessed the students with motivational words, recognizing the significance of the occasion. Dr. Vivek Chauhan, Head of the Department, shed light on the pivotal role of physiotherapy in both preventing and treating disabilities.

Dr. Samriti Chauhan, in a thematic address, emphasized the importance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Faculty members, including Dr. Archana, Dr. Samriti, Dr. Anchal, and Dr. Pranjal, along with students, actively participated in marking the occasion, earning applause from the dignitaries and guests present.

The event underscored Abhilashi University’s commitment to fostering awareness, understanding, and proactive measures in support of persons with disabilities, aligning with the global pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals.
