Kullu, May 23, 2025: Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur led a spirited Tiranga Yatra in Banjar on Friday to honour the Indian Army. The rally saw enthusiastic participation, with citizens waving the national flag and raising slogans in praise of the armed forces.

Addressing the gathering, Thakur hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, claiming it had sent a strong message to Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam incident. He emphasized that India had both exposed and retaliated against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. “If a single bullet is fired from across the border again, India will respond with BrahMos,” he stated, underlining the country’s assertive stance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Thakur also criticized Pakistan for spreading propaganda and concealing the losses of its own terrorists. He said India had destroyed nine terror camps and killed over 100 terrorists. “Pakistan will vanish from the world map if it dares to provoke India again,” he warned.

Local MLA Surender Shourie and BJP District President Amit Sood were also present during the march.
