64 Anganwadi Posts in Bhatiyat and Dalhousie, Applications Invited

Chamba, August 11, 2026: Applications have been invited from eligible women for 64 posts of Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers in various Anganwadi centres under the Bhatiyat and Dalhousie subdivisions. Eligible candidates can submit their applications at the office of the Child Development Project Officer, Chowari, by September 2, 2026.

Child Development Project Officer Chowari Dharamvir said that 10 posts of Anganwadi Workers and 28 posts of Anganwadi Helpers are vacant in Anganwadi centres under Bhatiyat subdivision. In addition, one Catch Worker and one Catch Helper post have been created at Anganwadi Centre 2/4 Bakloh Cantt. Under Dalhousie subdivision, applications have been invited for six Anganwadi Worker and 19 Anganwadi Helper posts.

Only eligible women candidates can apply. Applicants must belong to a family ordinarily residing within the feeding area of the concerned Anganwadi centre. Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age as on the last date of application and must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university.

The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs. 50,000. The income certificate for the financial year 2026-27 must be issued and countersigned by a Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar or Executive Magistrate.

Additional marks will be awarded, as per the prescribed guidelines, for higher educational qualifications and for candidates belonging to categories including persons with disabilities, inmates of State Homes or Balika Ashrams, orphans, widows, destitute women, divorcees, deserted women and women whose husbands have been missing for the past seven years. Additional marks will also be applicable to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes categories, subject to submission of valid certificates issued by the competent authority.

Document verification and interviews for candidates from Bhatiyat subdivision will be held on September 8, 2026, at the office of the Child Development Project Officer, Chowari. Candidates from Dalhousie subdivision will undergo document verification and interviews on September 11, 2026, at the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dalhousie. No separate notice will be issued for these proceedings.
