1 min read

Solan, Aug 23 – In a recent report released by the Central Drug Standard Control Organization, 51 out of 1,306 drug samples collected nationwide, including 22 from Himachal Pradesh, have failed quality tests. The samples were taken in July, out of which 1,252 passed while 51 were deemed substandard. The findings revealed that three of the failed samples were counterfeit drugs.

Among the affected medications, various drugs such as migraine treatment, antibiotics for infections, ulcer medications, and antacids have shown inconsistencies in quality. Notably, companies located in Solan, Badki, Nalagarh, and other areas have produced samples that did not meet the required standards. The concerned authorities have issued notices to these companies and instructed them to remove the faulty stock from the market. Additionally, collaborations between regulatory bodies and pharmaceutical companies are ongoing to ensure the maintenance of drug quality in the region.
