Chamba, March 28, 2026:
Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal chaired a district-level review meeting to assess the progress of Special Revenue Lok Adalats aimed at expediting disposal of pending revenue cases.

He informed that between January and March 2026, a total of 1,383 revenue cases were successfully resolved in Chamba district. These included 366 partition (takseem) cases, 570 demarcation matters, and 447 cases related to correction of revenue records.

The DC directed officials to continue the drive and organize special revenue courts once or twice a week to prioritize disposal of cases pending for over a year. He also instructed Sub-Divisional Magistrates to ensure timely resolution of pending matters.

During the meeting, officials were asked to upload all disposed cases on the RMS portal and expedite related works such as digitization of old records, minor irrigation census, water body surveys, Swamitva scheme, and jamabandi updates.

Repswal appreciated the efforts of revenue officials and set targets for the coming weeks to further strengthen the initiative.
