Youth Awareness Key to Building Corruption-Free Society: Anil Kumar

Baddi, October 31: Awareness and active participation of young people are essential to building a corruption-free society, said Anil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau and Security Vigilance Department, while addressing a Vigilance Awareness Week programme at IEC University.

Kumar administered an integrity pledge to students and university members, urging them to uphold honesty, transparency and accountability in their daily lives. He said corruption affects every section of society and requires collective efforts to combat it.

The programme also featured a poster-making competition, in which students highlighted themes of integrity, transparency and accountability. A street play presented by students showcased the adverse effects of corruption and emphasised the role of public participation in fighting the menace.

Vice-Chancellor Ashok Puri and Registrar Dr Prahlad Gupta appreciated the students’ participation, noting that educational institutions must also nurture ethical values and responsible citizenship.
