Inauguration of STEMROBO at St. Thomas’ School Shimla

Shimla, July 18, 2024 – The inauguration of STEMROBO at St. Thomas’ School marked a significant milestone in STEM education, heralding a new era for the institution. The event, held in the school auditorium, was attended by students from classes 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed chief guest, Dr. Pankaj Vaidya, head of Computer and Data Science at Yogananda School of AI, Shoolini University, along with distinguished guest Mr. Naman Sharma, Senior Manager Outreach at Shoolini University, and the LEAD Programme Team.

Dr. Pankaj Vaidya highlighted the benefits of integrating robotics and AI into education, emphasizing the transformative impact it would have on students’ learning experiences.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of STEMROBO, an advanced robotic system designed to enhance learning outcomes in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

School principal Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty expressed her pride in the school becoming the first to launch STEMROBO, emphasizing its role in making the institution tech-savvy. She noted the significance of this initiative as the school celebrates its centenary year, describing STEMROBO as a special gift to the students. She acknowledged the efforts of the teachers, students, and the LEAD team in making this innovative program a reality.
