Conference on Himalayan Science and Technology from Saturday

Shoolini University is organising the first conference on Himalayan Science and Technology (HiSTCon 2023) on May 20 and 21, 2023. The central theme of the conference is sustainable development in the Himalayan region.
HiSTCon 2023 will explore various themes such as healthcare, biodiversity conservation, food and zero hunger, Himalayan heritage, and the climate crisis. About 25 distinguished scientists have been invited from prestigious institutes across India to deliver keynote lectures, including experts such as Prof V. P. Kamboj Former Director of CSIR-CDRI, Prof Alok Dhawan, Director, Center of Biomedical Research, Prof Dulal Panda Director, NIPER, and Prof Rup Lal INSA Senior Scientist, among others.

Ganguly Former Director, ICMR, Dr. Lokesh Ohri (Founder and CEO of Been There, Doon that?), Prof. Sanjay Kumar Bhadada Professor and Head Department of Endocrinology PGIMER Chandigarh, Dr. Navin Juyal Formerly with Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, Dr. Shyam Kumar Masakapalli Associate Professor, IIT Mandi, and Dr. Y. P. Sundriyal Professor of Geology, HNBG University, Uttarakhand will be delivering lectures during the two-day conference.
The conference will facilitate meaningful discussions among the invited speakers and participants, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings. Over 30 research scholars and students from different states of India will present their research through poster presentations and oral sessions. With more than 100 students in attendance, the conference promises to be an engaging and insightful experience for all participants.
In addition to the academic sessions, the cultural event on May 20 will showcase Himalayan folk performances by the students of Shoolini University, adding a touch of local heritage and vibrancy to the conference.
The two-day national conference will be inaugurated by the chief patrons Prof P. K. Khosla Chancellor, Shoolini University and Padamshree Prof. R.C. Sobti Ex Vice Chancellor, Panjab University. Prof. Atul Khosla Vice Chancellor, Shoolini Uinversity, Mr. Vishal Anand Pro Chancellor Shoolini University, Prof. J.M. Julka Director Planning, Shoolini University, Prof. Sunil Puri Registrar, Shoolini University, and Prof. Saurabh Kulshreshtha Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology, Shoolini University will serve as Patrons of HiSTCon 2023.

Prof. Deepak Kumar, Prof. Pradeep Singh, Prof. Radheshyam, and Prof. YS Negi are advisory members, whereas Dr. Lokender Kumar, Dr. Rachna Verma, Dr. Ekta Singh, and Dr. Vihang Ghalsasi are organising secretaries.
