AHS Girls Celebrate Independence Day in the Spirit of Unity and Peace

Shimla, August 15: To mark the 79th Independence Day of India, Auckland House School for Girls organized a vibrant celebration imbued with the spirit of patriotism and unity.

The day began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Mrs. Smaraki Samanthroy, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, filling the campus with pride and reverence.

The event included readings from the Bible, Quran, Granth Sahib, and Bhagavad Gita, symbolizing the school’s commitment to “Unity in Diversity.” In her address Principal of the school, Smaraki Samanthroy encouraged students to live in harmony, extend a helping hand to others, and work collectively to make the world a better place.

A colourful cultural programme followed, featuring patriotic songs, traditional dances, and dramatic presentations that celebrated India’s rich heritage and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters. The performances reflected the students’ enthusiasm and deep respect for the nation’s values of secularism, peace, and brotherhood.

The celebrations concluded with a renewed sense of responsibility among the young minds to uphold the ideals of freedom and contribute positively to society.
