Shocking Allegations: Minor Girl Accuses Father of Abuse

Bilaspur, April 13

In a disturbing incident from the Jhanduta assembly constituency of Bilaspur district, a minor girl has accused her father of repeated physical abuse and indecent behavior since childhood. The victim, a Class 12 student, has lodged a formal complaint, leading to the registration of a case at the Women Police Station in Bilaspur. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Sources reveal that the issue came to light after the victim was approached by a Child Helpline team a few days ago. The minor girl disclosed that she had opposed her father’s actions multiple times, but he allegedly silenced her by claiming “everyone does the same,” and further added that “girls make boyfriends for this reason.”

The victim also shared that her father had forcibly stopped her education. Although she had previously approached the police with a complaint, she was pressured into withdrawing it. The prolonged abuse has reportedly caused her significant emotional distress, leading to stress and depression.

DSP Headquarters Madan Dhiman confirmed the registration of the case at the Women’s Police Station and stated that the investigation is underway. Authorities have assured the victim’s family that every necessary step will be taken to ensure justice.
