Kangra: Couple arrested under NDPS Act: SSP

Dharamshala, Jan – A couple, residents of village Chhanni Tehsil indora of this district was arrested on Saturday under Narcotics Drugand Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Chhanni following the raid at their residence by the police falling under Damtal police station in Kangra district after heroin and cash was seized from the possession of
he couple, Police said here on Saturday.
Kangra District Senior Superintendent of Police Khushal Sharma told that under Police Station Damtal police recovered 55.82 grams of heroin and cash from the possession of an accused couple at Chhanni falling under Damtal police station Kangra district on Friday.
SSP said that the accused persons were identified as Raj Kumar and Sunita Devi resident of village Chhanni Tehsil Indora of this district. Police also recovered cash Rs. 39,400 from the possession of the accused.
A case has been registered against the accused persons under section 21, 29-61-85 of NDPS Act at Damtal police station. SSP said that police arrested the said accused persons and the investigation was on.
