Government approves various posts and services at AIMSS, Chamiana

A spokesperson of the state government stated here today that in continuation of the state government’s efforts to strengthen the health institutions, sanction has been granted to creation of various posts in the Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialties (AIMSS), Chamiana, Shimla. The decision to establish, strengthen and rationalize the various department in the AIMSS has been taken with an aim to achieve the state government’s target of ensuring adequate doctors and paramedics in the hospitals.
The decision include creation of additional posts and shifting, transfer and redistribution of existing sanctioned posts from IGMC, Shimla and other departments of AIMSS Chamiana with a view to strengthening super-specialty healthcare services, medical education, teaching and clinical facilities at AIMSS, Chamiana.
These include one post of Professor, one post of Assistant Professor (Super-specialty) and three posts of Senior Resident in the department of Critical Care Medicine, one post of Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor and two Senior Resident in the department of Critical Care Medicine; one post of Professor, one Associate Professor, three Assistant Professor and five Senior Resident in the department of Anaesthesia; one post of Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor (Super-specialty) and four Senior Resident in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology (GI Surgery); one post of Professor, one Associate Professor, two Assistant Professor and eight Senior Resident in the department of Radio-diagnosis/Radiology. Other staff include one dietician, two CSSD Supervisor and one Chief Pharmacist.
