Road Restoration Work Gains Momentum in Shimla, Khalini Metalling From October 29
Shimla, October 28: Road restoration work under the 24×7 pressurised water supply project being implemented by Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJPNL) in collaboration with SUEZ has gathered pace in the city.
As part of the phased restoration of roads dug up for pipeline laying, metalling work near Chintpurni Sweets in Khalini ward will begin on Thursday, October 29.
Project representatives have appealed to residents to cooperate and avoid parking vehicles along the roadside during the work to ensure its timely completion without obstruction.
The restoration process will begin with the laying of wet mix macadam, followed by metalling. The work is expected to improve road conditions and provide relief to local residents and commuters.
SJPNL and SUEZ are undertaking road repairs after pipeline installation to improve traffic movement and minimise public inconvenience while strengthening Shimla’s water supply infrastructure.
