Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2027: Applications Open for Shimla District Round

Shimla, Oct 26: Mera Yuva Bharat Shimla, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is inviting applications for the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2027, aimed at promoting youth leadership, democratic participation and awareness of public policy.

The Shimla district-level event is tentatively scheduled for November 2, 2026, with “One Nation, One Election” as its theme. Participants will deliver a three-minute speech in Hindi or English.

Eligible applicants must be aged 18–25 years as of August 17, 2026. The district-level winners will advance to the state round, followed by the national-level event at Parliament, New Delhi, on January 9–10, 2027. National-level participants will also get an opportunity to attend the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from January 10–12, 2027.

**The last date to apply online is October 31, 2026.** Applications must be submitted through the My Bharat portal at:

The venue will be communicated to applicants by phone. Winners of the state-level round in previous years are not eligible to apply.
