IEC University Students Visit Milestone Gear Ltd. to Gain Practical Industry Exposure
Around 50 students explore manufacturing processes and industrial management at Baddi-Barotiwala
Barotiwala, October 10: IEC University, Himachal Pradesh, organised an industrial visit to Milestone Gear Ltd. in Barotiwala on Friday to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and manufacturing processes. Around 50 students from the departments of Business Management and Commerce and Mechanical Engineering participated in the visit.
The visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial practices. Students gained insights into manufacturing processes, industrial operations and workplace management, helping them understand the practical challenges and skills required in their respective professional fields.
The programme was organised under the guidance of the university’s Training and Placement Officer (TPO), Er. Vivek Shantal, and Dean Dr. Vikas Sheoran. Faculty members Neha Prajapati, Khushi Rani, Jasmin Kaur and Yogendra Singh accompanied the students.
Milestone Gear Ltd. Plant Head Satyapal Sharma and his team welcomed the students and briefed them on the company’s industrial operations and production processes. The interaction offered students an opportunity to observe industry practices closely and understand the importance of practical skills and professional competence in preparing for future employment.
IEC University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Puri and Registrar Dr. Prahlad appreciated the initiative and extended their best wishes to the participating students. They encouraged students to complement their academic knowledge with practical experience, stay updated with emerging technologies and strive for excellence in their chosen fields.
