Bishop Cotton School, Shimla kick starts the Under-14 All India Inter-School Football Tournament
7th October 2026 kicked off the tournament with the first match of the day between the teams of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla and APS ,Dagshai. Both the teams came onto the pitch determined to take home the victory and best the other. Both teams put up a rough competition for the other up until the end of the match. Though APS put up a tough fight, they were pushed out of the competition by BCS. The match ended with a score of 3-0 in the favour of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla. The second match was between Mayo College, Ajmer, and La Martinier College, Lucknow. Right off the bat the players started testing their limits on the field as well as gauging each other’s capabilities. Both teams came very close to scoring as the half-time whistle blew. After halftime was over and both the teams were rested and had their game plans renewed. As the match continued, Mayo College, Ajmer’s team was first to score with a rocking goal. A few penalty kicks occurred after which La Martinier College, Lucknow’s teams made a great comeback tying the match. The game was concluded in a draw with great play from both sides. The third match saw great competition between Roots Country School, Baghi and Daly College, Indore. The match saw some close competition between the players of the opposing teams. The field was filled with skillfull dribbling, passing and shooting, with the players clearly putting all of their skill and experience into use. With the scores tied, and the match almost coming to an end, there was a lot of tension in the air. Right before the end of the match Daly College scored a goal bringing the end result to a 2-1 in the favour of Daly College, Indore. The fourth and final match brought about a load of excitement from the Cottonian filled crowd cheering on their players as Bishop Cotton School, Shimla was facing off again Auckland Boys, Shimla. The onlookers of the match roared with joy pumping up the players for the match. It was an eventful match with great playing from Auckland, and goal after goal domination from BCS. Both the team’s players were truly giving it their all and more. The match ended with an absolutely monstrous 10-0 scoreboard in the favour of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, ending the day on a triumphant note and bringing a halt to the tournament for the day.
