RKMV Shimla Blood Donation Camp Collects 38 Units

Shimla, September 29: Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla, organised a blood donation camp jointly by the Youth Red Cross, NCC, Red Ribbon Club and Rotaract Club. The camp was conducted with the support of a medical team from Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), comprising Dr Astha Pal, Sister Renu, Sister Babita and Nokhram.

A total of 38 units of blood were collected during the camp. College Principal Dr Anurita Saxena was the first to donate blood, setting an example for students and staff. Several students and teachers also participated enthusiastically in the camp.

Youth Red Cross Coordinator Dr Lakshmi Sindhu encouraged the students to contribute to social service and thanked all the donors for their participation. Certificates were presented to the blood donors.

Members of the Youth Red Cross, NCC and Red Ribbon Club actively assisted in conducting the camp. The college administration expressed gratitude to the donors and the IGMC medical team and urged students to continue participating in community service initiatives.
