Rotary Royal Solan Blood Donation Camp Collects 48 Units
Solan, September 25: Rotary Royal Solan, in association with SILB Solan, organised a blood donation camp under Rotary International District 3080’s “Create Lasting Impact – Team Unstoppable” initiative. The camp was part of the “Consider You Camp in World Record Series”, which aimed to collect more than 6,000 units of blood in a single day as part of a world-record attempt.
A total of 48 units of blood were collected during the camp. The blood collection was carried out by a team from Amcare Hospital Blood Bank, Zirakpur.
Project Chairman Rotarian Arun Trehan said the camp was conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the district. Geo-tagged photographs and videos, the list of donors and the blood bank certificate were submitted to the designated control room as required under the campaign guidelines.
The organisers appreciated the participation of donors and volunteers and said the initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and contribute to strengthening the availability of blood for patients in need.
