7th International Conference on Mobile Radio Communication and 5G Networks Begins at JUIT

Waknaghat, September 18, 2026: The 7th International Conference on Mobile Radio Communication and 5G Networks (MRCN 2026) commenced at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat. Organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, the three-day conference will continue till September 19.

Prof. Pyari Mohan Pradhan of IIT Roorkee attended as Chief Guest, while Prof. Dinesh Kumar of RMIT University, Australia, was the Guest of Honour.

The inaugural session featured presentations on JUIT’s academic and research activities, with special emphasis on 5G and 6G technologies. Prof. R.K. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, JUIT, highlighted the importance of sharing research and technological advancements for societal benefit. Prof. Pradhan also spoke about the growing significance of 5G and 6G technologies and India’s contribution to 5G standardisation.

The conference received 124 research paper submissions, of which 34 were accepted, with an acceptance rate of around 27.4%. Researchers and academicians from India and several countries, including the USA, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Oman, UAE, Uzbekistan, South Africa and Russia, are participating.

The opening day featured technical sessions on IoT, 6G communication, MIMO antennas, medical image processing, blockchain, machine learning, cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles and AI-based applications.
