Tiny Feet, Big Dreams: AHSB Celebrates LPD Speech Day
Shimla, Sept. 18— Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla, celebrated Speech Day 2026 for the Lower Primary Department (LPD) on Friday with a vibrant showcase of music, dance, storytelling, and cultural expression.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Maheshwar Singh Chauhan, Chairman, HIMFED, Himachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest, who encouraged the young performers and presented the awards. He said, “It was wonderful to witness the confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm of these young boys. Their performances reflected not only their talent but also the dedication of their teachers and the support of their parents. I congratulate the school and the students for putting together such a joyful and memorable celebration.”
The programme opened with the Welcome Address, Lighting of the Lamp, and a soulful rendition of “You Are with Me, O Lord!” by the Class II Choir. The young performers then delighted the audience with a colourful mix of Hula Hula, Japanese Bum Bum, Rasputin, Howdy! Let’s Get Hoppin, and Dreamers. Class II brought storytelling to life with The Selfish Giant, followed by the familiar melodies of It’s a Small World and You Are My Sunshine. The celebrations culminated in vibrant folk performances of Bihu, Ghoomar, Garba, and Bhangra.
Presenting the Annual Report, Principal Mr. Reuben John highlighted the enthusiasm and confidence of the young performers.
“To see our youngest boys step onto the stage with such boundless enthusiasm, fearless joy, and genuine smiles is the true reward of what we do every day. Today wasn’t just a showcase of talent but it was a celebration of childhood, confidence, and community. Every dance step and musical note reflected the pure heart and spirit of our boys, and we couldn’t be prouder of them,” he added.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, followed by a Token of Gratitude and the Vote of Thanks, bringing a joyful celebration of talent and childhood to a memorable close.
