Pubowal pond to be developed as picnic spot

Una, September 7: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal inspected the beautification work at the old pond in Pubowal gram panchayat of Haroli subdivision and directed the panchayat to initiate the tender process soon for its further development as an attractive picnic spot.

The DC said traditional water sources were part of the region’s natural heritage and could become recreational and community spaces with proper conservation and planned development.

He directed the panchayat to ensure quality and timely execution of the proposed works so that the pond area could provide a pleasant space for children, youth, senior citizens and families.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts in Haroli to conserve and beautify traditional water sources in line with the vision of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.
