Water Conservation Awareness Seminar Held at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jutogh Cantt
Shimla: SUEZ India, in association with its NGO partner Himachal Pradesh Eshwas Lok Kalyan Society, organised an awareness seminar on water conservation at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jutogh Cantt, Tutu.
SUEZ officials briefed students about the 24×7 continuous pressurised water supply project of SJPNL, funded by the World Bank. They explained the benefits of the project and the efforts being undertaken to provide better, safe and uninterrupted water supply in Shimla.
Students were also given practical tips on conserving and saving water at both school and household levels. The session highlighted the importance of responsible water use and encouraged students to adopt water-saving practices in their daily lives.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Principal Mohan Gupta expressed gratitude to the SUEZ team for conducting the awareness programme on an important and relevant issue. School official Mandeep Rana and NGO coordinator Sachin Sharma also shared their views with the students on the importance of water conservation.
The programme concluded with students and teachers taking a pledge to conserve water and promote responsible water use in their communities.
