DC Mukesh Repaswal Urges Chamba Residents to Cooperate in Periodic Labour Force Survey

Chamba, August 17, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal has appealed to residents of Chamba district to extend full cooperation in the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) being conducted from July to December 2026.

The survey is being carried out by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics in both rural and urban areas of Chamba district in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of India. It aims to collect reliable data related to employment, unemployment and labour force participation.

The Deputy Commissioner said survey teams will collect information from selected households through the e-Sigma software. He urged residents to provide accurate and complete information to the survey teams and extend their cooperation for the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Repaswal clarified that all information collected during the survey will be kept confidential and will be used strictly for statistical purposes. He appealed to the public to participate responsibly and help ensure the successful completion of the survey.
